AE MFG was founded by Ari Emmett, a titanium frame builder who entered the industry in 2007. After refining his craft at DEAN Titanium, he acquired the brand and spent a decade restoring its reputation through grit and precision. He went on to acquire Merlin Metal Works. After the aquisiton of Ari's brands, he joined Mosaic Bespoke Bicycles. There he was welding at a rate five bikes a day and perfoming quality control measures. Now in 2025, AE MFG begins a bold new chapter—an independent brand built on experience, craftsmanship, and a passion for frames that perform, inspire, and endure.

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of bicycles do you create and do you use butted tubing?
I create road and gravel bikes out of a custom blend of tubing selected based on my experience and your needs as a rider. Our seat tubes are butted as are the headtubes. Beyond that I believe a superior frame is produced without the strength compromise and ride quality loss of ultra thin mid sections in the front triangle. Consistent performance and finish quality guides my choice to use a mix of butted and straight gauge tubing hand picked for each rider.
What kind of repairs and modications do you perform?
AE MFG will repair most broken welds on any titanium frame. I do NOT replace tubes of other brands.
Modifications include:
- Disc tab conversions on 135mm bikes
- Zip and cable guide add-ons
- fender and rack mount add ons
- Chainring and tire clearancing
What is your lead time and how much do your bikes weigh?
From time of drawing approval the process can take 1-3 months, more for full builds parts pending. I do not weigh my bikes, for me that defeats the purpose of making the bike exactly for you. I can make them ultra light for climbers and stout for clydesdales. The answer is they are light enough. Combined with the finest components the ride quality takes priority over the negligable weight penalty of having the bike built perfect to you.
Do you offer any warranties on your bicycles?
Yes, the bikes carry a 5 year warranty against Manufacturing defects. Why only five years? In my experience, if somthing goes wrong it goes wrong fast. Enjoy worry free riding for years and years. In the end We always take care of our customers. Reduced cost crash replacement pricing is available! We offer reduced cost repairs to out of warranty or second hand AE MFG bikes.
